Aalimi Nation ("we", "us", "our") operates aalimination.com. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and how you can control it.
1. Information we collect
- Account data: name, email address, and password (hashed) when you sign up as a reader.
- Contact data: name, email, and message content when you use the Contact form.
- Payment-related data: for purchases (paid digest access, digital issues, print issues) we do not store your card, UPI, or bank details. Payments are processed
by Razorpay Software Pvt. Ltd.; we retain only the order ID, payment ID, amount, and status needed to confirm your purchase.
- Shipping data: for print issue orders, the delivery name, address, and phone number you provide.
- Usage data: pages visited, device/browser type, and IP address, collected automatically for security and analytics.
- Newsletter data: your email address if you subscribe to the free or paid digest.
2. How we use your information
- To create and manage your reader account.
- To process payments and deliver what you purchased (unlock digest access, email a soft-copy PDF, or ship a print copy).
- To send the newsletter/digest you've opted into, and transactional emails (order confirmations, password resets).
- To respond to enquiries submitted via the Contact page.
- To detect fraud and keep the site secure.
3. Sharing your information
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with:
- Razorpay, to process payments (subject to Razorpay's own privacy policy).
- Courier/delivery partners, for print issue shipments (name, address, phone only).
- Service providers who host our infrastructure and send email on our behalf, under confidentiality obligations.
We do not share your data with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
4. Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and remember your session. We do not use third-party advertising trackers. [Add this line if/when you introduce analytics: "We use [Google Analytics/etc.] to understand site traffic."]
5. Data retention
We retain account and order data for as long as your account is active and as required by Indian tax and accounting law thereafter. You may request deletion of your account at any time (see Section 7).
6. Data security
We use industry-standard measures (encrypted connections, hashed passwords) to protect your data. No online service is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, or unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time, by writing to info@aalimination.com or using the unsubscribe link in any digest email.
8. Children's privacy
Aalimi Nation is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Effective date" above will reflect the latest revision.
