Military operations in Yemen are continuing to intensify, with strikes targeting Houthi positions, weapons depots and missile-launching platforms as the conflict enters a potentially decisive phase.

According to Al Arabiya, forces aligned with Yemen’s internationally recognised government have announced the recapture of key strategic locations, while allied forces continue to target facilities linked to the Iran-backed Houthi movement.

Operation Fajr Al-Yemen Announced

Rashad al-Alimi, chairman of Yemen’s Presidential Leadership Council, announced the launch of Operation Fajr Al-Yemen, aimed at restoring state institutions, ending the Houthi rebellion and retaking the capital, Sanaa.

The operation marks an escalation in efforts to weaken the Houthis’ military capabilities and regain control of strategically important areas.

Missile Platforms and Weapons Depots Targeted

Military operations have increasingly focused on locations considered central to the Houthis’ military strength, including missile-launching platforms, weapons storage facilities and deployment positions.

Meanwhile, forces supporting Yemen’s internationally recognised government have reported advances at key strategic sites.

The latest developments come amid continuing political and military instability in the country, where the conflict between the Houthi movement and the internationally recognised government has persisted for years.

Battle for Sanaa

The stated objective of Operation Fajr Al-Yemen is to restore the authority of Yemen’s state institutions and bring the capital, Sanaa, back under government control.

However, the situation remains fluid, and further developments will depend on military progress, the balance of forces on the ground and the broader regional dynamics.
