Riyadh: Saudi Arabia is continuing diplomatic efforts aimed at reducing regional tensions and preventing renewed conflicts, Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan said on Wednesday.
Prince Faisal said Riyadh remains focused on pursuing comprehensive and sustainable diplomatic solutions that address the underlying causes of instability in the region.
He stressed that lasting regional stability cannot depend solely on military power. Instead, he said, sustainable diplomatic solutions are needed to address the root causes of conflicts and create conditions for long-term peace.
Dialogue and Joint Action
Saudi Arabia is also calling for greater dialogue and coordinated international and regional efforts to address growing security challenges.
According to the Saudi position, recent developments have demonstrated that the consequences of regional conflicts are no longer confined to the Middle East. Their impact is increasingly being felt across global security, energy markets and economic growth.
Riyadh therefore believes that the international community must move beyond temporary measures aimed only at reducing immediate tensions.
Saudi Arabia has emphasised the importance of creating conditions that allow political solutions to take hold and provide a sustainable foundation for peace and security.
The Saudi foreign minister's remarks reflect Riyadh's broader diplomatic approach of encouraging negotiations, de-escalation and collective action in response to regional and international challenges.
“Sustainable stability cannot be achieved through military power alone; it requires diplomatic solutions that address the root causes of crises,” the Saudi position emphasises.
Riyadh says its efforts will continue as it seeks to prevent tensions from developing into renewed conflicts and to promote greater regional stability.
