: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) and the International Organization for Migration (IOM) have signed a joint implementation agreement aimed at improving the economic conditions of internally displaced people in Yemen during September 2026.
The agreement was signed by Dr. Abdullah Al Rabeeah, Adviser at the Saudi Royal Court and Supervisor General of KSrelief, and IOM Director General Amy Pope on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
Under the programme, around 13,300 internally displaced people and vulnerable groups in the Yemeni governorates of Marib, Taiz and Al Hudaydah will receive humanitarian assistance.
The initiative includes the distribution of shelter kits, tents and improved emergency shelter kits to people facing the most urgent humanitarian needs.
The agreement is part of KSrelief’s broader efforts to strengthen cooperation and coordination with United Nations organizations and humanitarian agencies working in Yemen.
The programme aims to support displaced communities by providing essential shelter assistance and helping them meet basic needs with greater dignity and security.
The partnership also seeks to develop more effective approaches to delivering humanitarian assistance to internally displaced people across Yemen.
