A Relationship That Allegedly Turned Violent
A suspected extramarital relationship has become the focus of a serious criminal case in Vasundhara, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, after a man was allegedly attacked at his home in a planned assault involving his wife and a gym trainer.
Shashank, 35, and his wife, Priya, 32, have a three-year-old daughter. According to the account of the incident, Priya met Pratap Singh, 30, a fitness trainer, while visiting a local gym. Their acquaintance allegedly developed into an intimate relationship.
The situation reportedly escalated in September, when Shashank discovered the alleged affair. He subsequently decided to separate from Priya and planned to move to a new house in Delhi.
Investigators reportedly suspect that Priya and Pratap then conspired to kill Shashank, allegedly viewing him as an obstacle to their relationship.
Husband Attacked While Sleeping Beside Daughter
According to the account, the alleged attack took place on Monday morning. Priya reportedly left for the gym without locking the house, allowing Pratap to enter the residence.
Shashank was sleeping beside his three-year-old daughter when Pratap allegedly entered and attacked him.
Shashank woke up and attempted to defend himself. The confrontation frightened the child, who began crying, according to the account.
The commotion alerted neighbours, who rushed to the house after hearing Shashank's cries and the child's distress. When Pratap allegedly attempted to escape, local residents and security personnel caught him.
Shashank sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital, where he is reportedly receiving treatment in the intensive care unit.
Police have arrested Priya and Pratap in connection with the case. According to the information provided, a case has been registered and both accused have been remanded to judicial custody.
The allegations point to a deeply disturbing incident in which a young child was present during an act of violence against her father. The investigation is expected to establish the sequence of events, the alleged roles of the accused and the circumstances surrounding the attack.
The case remains subject to the outcome of the legal proceedings. The accused are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
