Hamas has warned that continued Israeli targeted killing operations could put the Gaza agreement at risk, urging the United States to pressure Israel to halt such actions.

Hamas leader Ghazi Hamad said the group had received reports that Hamas leader Ali al-Amoudi survived an alleged Israeli assassination attempt.

Speaking to Al Arabiya/Al Hadath on Sunday, Hamad accused Israel of violating the Gaza agreement by continuing what he described as assassination operations. He warned that such actions could ultimately threaten the continuation of the agreement.

Hamad said the United States had a responsibility to help preserve the Gaza agreement and should exert pressure on Israel to stop targeted killing operations.

Five Palestinians Killed in Gaza City Airstrike

Meanwhile, an Israeli airstrike on an apartment in western Gaza City killed five Palestinians, including four women, according to Palestinian Civil Defence and medical officials.

The strike took place shortly after midnight between Friday and Saturday in the Al-Rimal area of Gaza City. The Israeli military said the attack targeted a Hamas leader.

An official at Al-Shifa Medical Complex told AFP that five bodies and several injured people were brought to the hospital following the strike on an apartment in the Al-Asalah building.

The victims were identified by Palestinian sources as Maria Hafez Michelle Al-Najjar and her mother, Maisa Khader Abu Daoud; Yasmin Al-Bobo and her mother, Haloum Al-Bobo; and Bilal Khalil Ouda.

Palestinian Civil Defence spokesperson Mahmoud Bassal also confirmed that five people were killed and several others injured in the attack.

Bassal said the apartment was directly hit by two missiles, causing extensive damage and triggering a fire.

The latest developments come amid continued tensions surrounding the Gaza agreement, with Hamas warning that further targeted operations could undermine efforts to maintain the arrangement.
